Network Information
|
|
| Infrastructure |
| Eugene Hosting Networks utilizes ten direct connections from six different
providers. All fiber optic cables take diverse routes from several
physical entry points and are then routed to the transport cabinets.
From this point, the ten connections' bandwidth is aggregated,
allowing the simultaneous utilization of the total throughput of all
connections combined. This aggregation, provided by Cisco 6500 and
5500 switches, allows for higher speeds and increased redundancy. |
| Providers |
| The network currently consists of one OC-3 from AT&T, one OC-3
from UUNet, two 100Mbps Ethernet connections to InterNap, one 1000Mbps
Ethernet connection to Qwest, and five 100Mbps Ethernet connections to
Cogent.
